Welcome to our virtual tour! Here, we’ll walk you through some of the hottest projects of the last six months. We’re covering some jargon used around the shop as well as promotional printing methods that make your custom apparel possible!
Promotional Printing Methods & Highlighted Projects:
Channel letters at Hustle Fitness
To begin, channel lettering is one of the hottest promotional printing methods utilized for many retail stores in Chicago. For instance, we helped Hustle Fitness design illuminated and custom cut letter signage to promote their business 24/7. As you can see, sign installation in the Chicagoland is a specialty of ours. As you can see, even our installers are always repping Chicago apparel.
High end apparel at Wayfinder Logistics
Next up, Wayfinder Logistics. With hyper growth in mind, and a youthful team of employees, Chicago logistics company Wayfinder was looking for high end swag that would rival anything that LuLu Lemon, GymShark, or Alphalete could provide.
Moreover, Wayfinder management requested a-typical promotional printing methods that include half tones to produce gradience of their colors. Additionally, they wanted their logo located at the absolute edge of the garment. When we were done with our custom printing, the team at Wayfinder was over the moon with the results. In fact, they already placed another order with us for custom hats. We look forward to sharing those with you in another post!
Custom corporate branding for Pampr Concierge
Start up concierge service provider, Pampr provides vacation planning on Nantucket Island. The owner, Brady, had some very specific ideas as to what he wanted and spent significant time planning this out with the Chicago Signs & Screen Printing team. He even came into the shop to pick out the exact Pantone color shades to match the vision of his brand. For his project, Brady ordered custom polos, custom t-shirts, and custom hoodies all with similar but different logos and colors which expanded the difficulty of the project. However, when we finished and shipped across the country to Brady, he could not have been more pleased with the results. He even left us a raving review! We’re excited to work with him for future custom apparel projects in Chicago or on Nantucket Island!
Cubs Themed Restaurant Apparel in Chicago for Smoke Daddy
Ultimately, Chicago Signs & Screen Printing helps many restaurants with custom apparel for both their employees and to sell to their clients. For instance, Smoke Daddy in Wrigleyville ordered custom tank tops and custom hoodies with the Chicago Cubs/BBQ theme. This apparel was used both as custom restaurant uniforms as well as sellable swag to people visiting the restaurant. Employees tell us they get tons of compliments from visitors, but more importantly they also love how they’re wearing a uniform that they enjoy.

Promotional Printing Methods: Halftones
In addition to our highlighted projects, one of the most commonly used promotional printing method is screen printed halftones. To illustrate this process, we are highlighting some unique project requests.
BTY Training Lab
First, BTY requested neon printed tank tops, stickers, and more for their training gym in Chicago. This project was fun to work on because it gave us the ability to custom design their artwork from scratch with only examples of images found on the internet. For this reason, printing something with this complexity requires using special separations software. Not to mention, a highly technical screen printing method called simulated process printing. Additionally, we printed with specific red, yellow and orange inks with different halftone frequencies. As a result, we were able to print realistic neon designs that pop off their Nike workout apparel.
GUDPPL – ATELIER 01001
Local streetwear brand, GUDPPL came to us looking to screen print a photo realistic image. Thanks to halftones, this is possible by printing through only one black screen. Further, this method allows any shade of black to be printed across a single image area. As a result, the image is left perfectly shaded in black and white. Not only is this a very pleasing design choice, but you can also get away with a “full-color” look for the cost of a single color.
Pantone Color Matching
Equally important as halftones, next promotional printing method we are highlighting is Pantone color matching. In summary, when clients come to us with very specific brand identity and colors, we must produce inks that are spot on. More specifically, we use the Pantone Matching System. This allows better mixes of colors that are 100% representative of your brand. Meanwhile, check out the examples below!
