For freshmen, starting school can be a scary, stressful experience. Not at the University of Illinois, though! This year, their Freshman Frenzy event had an interesting twist, and they decided to hire us to create customized t-shirts and tote bags for their students. Live screen printing plus a bounce house, snacks and a photo booth, and the event was a roaring success!

What is live screen printing?
Also known as on-site screen printing, live screen printing is exactly what the name suggests. It’s where we take a mobile screen printing setup to a venue and get everything set up to print your designs at your event live. They’ll be ready in minutes! This is ideal for giveaways and events (such as the one hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign).

How The Screen Printing Process Worked
We were able to get situated just perfectly in the provided 8x8ft space. This included space for all the machines, including the screen press, dryer and merchandise.
During the event, the students could select their design (all in white, for consistency and efficiency), step to the screen press where it was printed on to the product of their choice, and finally walk over to the dryer, where the finished piece was handed out to them. Hooray!
