Northside College Prep High School recently approached us with a brilliant idea. They wanted to give away custom embroidered throw blankets to their staff, as an appreciation gifts. We loved it, and once we had all the details, we got working on the project. Within a short period of time, the embroidery services were complete, and we handed the blankets to our delighted client.
The Process
Once the client had picked out the product and the design they wanted, we got hold of the blankets, and set to work. Embroidery is a fine art that requires care and patience. However, with our experience and professional set-up, we were able to get the job done quickly.
Custom embroidered throw blankets aren’t something we get asked to produce often, so we enjoyed this project more than usual.

The Product
The client chose a plushy, light grey throw blanket from a company they were happy with. The product was extremely high-quality, warm and lightweight. They wanted the school’s name and logo embroidered in maroon on the corner of the (grey) blanket – which was an ode to the school colors, maroon and silver.
When it comes to fluffy, high-pile items like throw blankets, custom embroidery can be a little tricky, as the pile can be hard to work with. However, thanks to some good planning and (mostly) to our high-tech machinery, we were able to get the job done without a hitch.
The Client
Northside College Prep High School is a public selective enrolment high school. It is located on the north side of Chicago, and was founded in 1999, making it the first new CPS (Chicago Public School) to be built in 20 years.
